Default Tick season

Went to the mountains Wed. Had a good day 1:47 got to over 8100. How ever when I got home I found 10 small ticks attached to me. Lyme Disease, lets hope not.
How did this happen, not sure? Had to briefly lye on the ground to get my sprogs on/off. But I really think that I contacted the ticks from having my harness, extra shirt and jacket lying on the ground near my glider waiting to launch. I think from now on I'll get my harness and gear ready and leave them in the vehicle until I'm ready to actually launch. Just a thought.

Yes, should be a good (meant BAD) year for ticks with the mild winter. I have brought a few home with me from working on the Logan property. The dogs are also bringing them in the house from who knows where!! Be aware and check yourself often.

I brought home 4 on Sat by just walking around in semi tall grass. Planning on tucking my pant legs in my socks and also investing in some Deet for the next outing.

I was walking around the Columbus zoo this weekend and a guy in line behind me told me not to panic, then slapped at my back. Told me I had a tick on my shirt.
I want to believe him, but he may have been looking for a fight!
