Take your harness, helmet and vario then rent a glider either from Sylmar or Crestline. All my gear fits nicely in a large soft sided suitcase.

Mom will understand...

I thought of renting, but I was wondering if they might have an issue with me only being a Hang 2, even though I have a lot of experience years and years ago.

How do I find my way to Crestline? What are the closest flying sites to Rancho Bernardo?

Torrey Pines in La Jolla and would probably give you info on other sites like Laguna Mountain which is south east of RB. Dan would be able to give you more specifics later.

Yep, I've been there many times. I should have said non-coastal sites. I've never been to any inland sites out there.

Not sure around San Diego area, though I believe Torrey Pines would be the only place (if at all) that would rent in the that area.

For Crestline (San Bernardino), go to http://www.flytandem.com/

For Sylmar, go to http://windsports.com/

Both sites have H2 launches, might move you up to H3 launch by discussion of proof from H2 launch.

Mike, the two best places inland in San Diego are Horse and Laguna Mt. Horse is west facing and Laguna is east. Both are primo sites and should not disappoint. Get on the hanggliding.org site and let them know your coming and someone should be able to hook you up with some gear. If you interested in seeing what the sites look like just do a search on youtube. Wish I was going with you!!!

Default Back on topic...

Back to the topic at hand...mainly a fun fly-in at Wes's. I'll be there. It's been too many weeks since I've been able to get a good flying day. I'm looking forward to it!

Terry

I will pan to be there. Would you rather I stop at Sam's and grab some burgers than to bring a side?

Bob, we already have that covered. Bring yourself and whatever else you can think of that's simple.
